Heroic Wind Lord Mel'jarak


To keep the skipping theme going, we also missed Garalon this week so that we could defeat Wind Lord Mel'jarak in a faster time. This boss was probably easier than Blade Lord Ta'yak, though some people did like blowing the raid up repeatedly with wind bombs. We also managed to wipe just before a kill because of a wind bomb, leaving many to sigh thinking we wouldn't kill this tonight but fortunately only a couple of pulls later and the boss was down.

Heroic Blade Lord Ta'yak


Here is our first kill from Heart of Fear heroic. We decided based on the higher difficulty of Imperial Vizier Zor'lok compared to some of the later bosses, that we would skip ahead on to them for the first week.

Blade Lord Ta'yak turned out to be pretty simple once everyone had mastered collapsing. The final phase really sucks as a paladin type healer but no surprises that monks were pretty good at that phase...

Heroic Will of the Emperor


This took longer than expected, but here it is finally. After learning the tactic it only took a few days to tries to get it down, we had been focused on the opening of Heroic Heart of Fear but the bugs and subsequent difficulty ramp up allowed us to go back and finish this quickly, so for once, thanks Blizz!

Like all long bosses, it was a pain wiping on low percentages, one of our best first tries had us wipe on 5% due to enrage when everything was looking fine, sadly this boss doesn't have a Spirit King's type enrage That said it's nice to have it complete and be ready to move on and hopefully progress a bit faster this time.
