Apologies for the late update, in future updates will be able to be seen much more easily as part of our new website which should be up next week!
As for the hard modes I'd say Iron Council - Steelbreaker Last was a pain just because of the amount of time, other than that having done Freya with two Elders last week we hope to finish off the last this reset.
Based on our raid progress and achievements Balance is listed as 33 in the world and 21 in Europe. Current positions can be found at http://www.wowprogress.com/
Hope to be adding more shortly and on the new site, check back soon!

On this day - 4 years ago - Balance was founded by Gorby and Nalcarya (a.k.a. The Guildfather). This took place on our old server, Burning Blade, and the guild was named after this card -> Balance ![]()
The day after the founding a large group of dedicated players (from Nalcarya's old guild Saga) joined to become a solid core of the new guild. We had turned from a Swedish leveling guild to an international raiding guild. All in the name of progress and friendship!
Balance have gone through a long and strange journey since that very first day, from early struggling in Molten Core to world class raiding in WotLK. We have dealt with drunken dwarves, insane raiding hours, hilarious teamspeak moments, hackers, a server migration and a guild merge that almost ended us... but we are still here and still going strong! ![]()

Cheers to you all - past and present members!

Yes it’s been a long time since I last did a post, and this post will most likely be one of the biggest yet. The Secrets of Ulduar have been revealed to Balance!
For people wondering why news section as updated so slowly is because of the amount of bosses inside Ulduar. There are 14 bosses, and 13 of them are accessible, hence why all focus was directed to raiding. For further clarification, the last boss is only accessible once four certain bosses have been killed in hard mode.
Bosses will be listed without the loots this time arround, and should you wish to see the loots so far, you can always see them on the dkp pages. At a first glance over the epics dropping in Ulduar I have to say I’m not all that impressed. Many loots were either de:d or given to others as offspeccs. On a further note the two first boss kills are without the traditional boss killshot but will be fixed until next reset.
Day one - PATCH DAY! I have never experienced a more crappy patching day like the one we had on Wednesday. Sadly The instance server was quite buggy, and at times made zoning in impossible after a release. Therefor I have little news to cover from that day.
We started once the servers came up at arround 16:00. We had a full raid straight away. The dedication is awesome and Balance was eager for progress and ofc first boss kills.
Flame Leviathan – Tank n’ Spanked!
Well not much to say about this first encounter. Pretty solid, easy and fun fight. You use different vehicles and it’s was a one shot. Also stating the first kill on the server. This is a boss fight where a bit of coordination is required but nothing fancy.
ONWARDS!!
Razorscale – Grounded!
Dragontime! And this one had to be harpooned down. Kept trying to fly away, until we grounded him for good. Nothing fancy here either, just a normal encounter with adds, flame breaths dps and heal. Another server first.
XT002 Deconstructor – Deconstructed!
Third boss we went and we thought it would be all loot reaver again, but to our dismay servers started fucking up here and also more lagg introduced. I think the whole server was trying to either enter a 25 or 10 man raid and/or stand outside waiting to enter.
This boss was also a bit of coordination, but mainly a bit more dps and healing fight then that. Server first on this one aswell.
Unfortuneately this is also all we could muster with the instance servers beeing the way they are.
Day two - Thursday!
Raid started early, and it was now time to get some speed up and running with few other guilds online.
Assembly of Iron – School-benched!
Ahh yes. There has to be one in each instance and this was the council boss of this instance so far. Was a really easy fight, when doing it the easy way and it went down one first try pretty much. Three bosses up, when one dies the other gains abilities and then boss fight is over when all of the bosses are down. Killing this boss in hard mode or killing Steelbreaker last will also drop the quest item that starts the quest to unlock Algolon! As for the server first, was lost and took it second.
Kologarn – Stoned!
Yeah not much of a boss fight here either. Eyebeams is something we´re well aware of since Felmyst and wasn’t exactly hard to outrun. First try, first kill, server first.
With Kologarn defeated he then gave us with his own body the bridge over to the next boss.
Auriya – Her Cats did not have nine lives!
Hehe tricky boss at first, with one shots on a few peeps, but two three pulls later and it was sorted. Entrance Main Kicker on KT! Haha. Was funny that a boss actually needed kicking again to not wipe the raid. Not much of a boss fight here. Bit of movement, kicking, aoeing, and some void zones. Server first.
Things were speeding now! With three more bosses down and plenty of prime raiding time left we had the four watchers to go to next. We choose Thorim as the first one. Server first.
Thorim – Arena mastered!
The first watcher we went to, wasn’t all that exciting tbh. Lots of trash waves and seriously that’s annoying. One part of the raid goes through another path to actuall engage him whilst the others stand in the arena and kill trash.... Ahh well after that he jumps down and dps race starts. Nothing fancy here. One more server first.
Hodir – Winter didn’t last long!
This was one of the more fun encounters so far. Adds that need to be freed, movement from big stones and then ofc safety dance v2.0! Haha. This boss will be quite sick in hardmode. Server first.
Two watchers down, two to go.
Freya – Freed!
Before even getting to the next watcher you have to spend what feels like an eternity of killing add groups. Once finally everything was cleared, so was Freya! Yeah this boss fight was coordination fight and will be quite fun to do on hard mode. Server first.
Mimiron – Enter the Powerranger!
Uptil now the bosses inside Ulduar was pretty solid but not that challenging until Mimiron. But before getting to the last of the watcher and taking a reminiscent tour back to what felt like gnomeregan, yes the very instance that everyone had bad experience with, we´d end up at one of the best designed fights in the instance and maybe even in the game. This was an extremely fun boss fight that consisted of 4 phases. Each phase was more difficult then the previous and with the last phase consisting of all phases put together haha. I wonder how this will be on hard mode! Fun for sure! Another server first aswell.
Mimiron was also the last boss we killed for the day and we earned some solid Zzzzs.
Day three! Return to Ulduar!
Ignis the Furnace Master – Droused!
Seeing as Ignis one of the first bosses of the instance but was rather bugged with adds up, haha oneshotting tanks and such we went back after fixing it partly. Dmg on the tank was better or rather say healable and but still had bugged problems with meleeing the person who gets slag potted and kills them either before getting slagpotted or whilst inside. Big bug but hey we killed it, made the encounter alittlebit more fun and peeps ready with lifelines. Boss down server first.
General Vezax – Kicked the shit out of!
Haha I just had to. Yet again where coordination and rotations of dps and healing needs to be tip top and to top it off, kicking kel thuz.... ehh I mean Vezax. Pretty challening boss, but I think the trash was even more challenging when you had peeps chain pulling full add groups ontop of the already existing one! Yet another server first!
Killing General Vezax gave us access to the last boss we could do – Yogg Saron the cousin of C’tun!
Yogg Saron - Fiend of a Thousand Faces - Facepalmed!
Ahh yes Cthun v2.0! Man what a great encounter this was. This boss is worthy of beeing in the books of awesome encounters. Precision raiding at its best! Boss has three or four phases depending on if you count zoning into his illusion rooms and brain as one phase or not. Irregardless of that, phase one really comes down to dps burn and coordination fight. One person can and will wipe the raid. Phase two is the fun part and it reminds you so much of Cthun in the awesome days of lvl 60. Here high dps, awareness and coordination needs to be tip top. I love when the whole raid has different jobs and then everything runs like a clock when all groups do their job. I just hope that when time comes to face Algolon, it will be as enticing and as challenging as this if not more! We took this boss first on the server aswell!
More info about our progress will come later from hardmode progress!
Stay tuned!
Yogg-Saron's movie.
