MC/Onyxia Info (clearly stolen form EVT!) Updated!!!!
General stuff:
-The mob with the hunter mark is the one to kill first.
-If the tank loses aggro and the mob attacks the raid, give the tank a chance to regain aggro (only still attack if the raid leader orders something like "do all dps on the loss mob)
-Ventrilo and Raidchat are for the raidleader/s ffs just shut up there
-orders are given by the leader and NOONE else (if it was up to me to decide all ppl that give useless orders should be banished from raids)
-if you see someone is playing very dumb, whisper him/her and give some tips how to improve (only give tips if you are really sure)
-always have the newest version of raid assist ( http://www.ctmod.net )
-be there in time (if it says we gather at 18 o'clock be online at 18 o'clock, it would be perfect if you are already infront of the instance at this time)
-read: http://conquest.teamgbu.com/strats/moltencore/why.php
and know at least how to kill the trash mobs
-all classes who can cure curses/magic get decursive: http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=643
-bring at least 20 heavy rune cloth bandages and some potions
(bandage yourself whenever it is needed, and also bandage supporters if needed so they can keep the focus on the tanks)
-make a macro for the paladins to get your blessings, don't spam any chat with your requests
-don't spam anywhere with requests for buffs, just whisper a person of the class and ask for the buff.
-whisper cast is meant for blessings from palas, it shouldn't be needed for other things (since it is a waste of mana)
Edit here: The whisper cast is nice for the Divine Spirit buff from priests.
Example:
I see mages using whisper cast on Arcane Intellect, Arcane Brillianz and DECURSE. AI and AB is ok if you are not able to buff properly fine fine (maybe you should think about rolling a rogue he has no buffs) [the problem about these buffs is that they are very mana intensive if ppl whisper you for AI during a battle and you keep spamming your whisper cast for decursing and cast AI because it is in queue your mana will be gone very very soon.)
Despelling/Decursing via whisper cast: I am sorry for saying this but in my opinion everyone who uses this is completly missplaced in the molten core and should return to dead mines. It is your ability and by this your task to cure curses and magic so DO it... DPS isn't all and ppl don't got the time to care about their curses. (At least some mages/druids/palas are smart enough to not take part in the DPS and ONLY cure curses so the others can keep up dmg or healing but still you should at least have an eye on your group and the ones close to you)
- DO NOT WASTE DEBUFF SLOTS
Warlocks will be happy for all debuff slots they can get, all casters will be very thankfull if a paladin can judge wisdom on the mob / boss... so please don't use useless debuffs and keep the slots for warlocks and the judgment of wisdom
"Xar: "For all Warlocks and debuffers, download SeeAllDebuffs
This is a simple mod that lets you see all 8 debuffs on a mob (very important for debuff classes or any raid that needs to control their debuffs for raid mobs).
Please, cast more CoS. I know it sucks to get it resisted like 5 times in a row, but we need it.""
-install the necessary addons (at least CT_Raidassist)
a package of usefull addons can be found here: http://www.exvitermini.org/forum/viewto ... =2701#2701
Before I start with the classes one thing:
The Guides will mainly focus the trash mobs, there are special strategies for the bosses, still you can use this as guidelines how to play BUT sometimes it differes a bit (like not only one hunter uses hunters mark on garr...)
Warrior:
Warriors are the class that seperate the mob from the main raid, usually there is one maintank and a few offtanks.
The raidleader usually tells the Warriors who tanks which target and also tells the raid what to attack (usually the one with the hunter mark goes down first).
Not much to say about warriors besides keep the mob in position and away from the raid (specifications like "keep it facing away from the raid" are mob specific and should be known aswell)
Paladin:
One short sentence should explain everything:
"Paladins are supporters in molten core, NOT damage dealers"
A Paladin should be ready to heal the groups, because the Priests got to focus the tanks, also it is very important to cure magic as soon as possible. (I could start screaming every time we do Lucifron and I see one single Paladin in melee... there are ALWAYS time bombs blowing up single players... just cure them and the raid will be fine.)
A must have for palas is Whisper Cast: [cannot find the link right now because there is some modification of the whisper cast by Beider afaik.... please edit the link into the post beid ^^]
[With whisper cast players only need to whisper you a trigger for a specific blessing and you will just have to keep pushing one button to work down through the queue]
"Turanmegil" wrote: ...
for paladins:
Your most efficient heal is flash of light. It doesn't heal for much but it's the most mana efficient heal you have. And with blessing of light it's even better. So everyone who needs healing from a paladin please ask Blessing of light to through whisper cast. Every paladin has it and it can only help keep the raid alive.
so if you need to heal the tank just keep spamming flash of light. Holy light is to mana intensive and will drain your mana very quickly.
Druid:
Aswell as Paladins Druids are meant to be supporters in Molten Core, stand back and heal the groups so the priests can keep focus on the tanks.
Since only druids and mages can cure curses cure them asap .
Hunter:
One hunter is usually decided to be the puller, this one and ONLY THIS ONE (FFS don't be so idiot to use your huntermark unless you are told to) uses hunter mark to mark mobs, and ONLY this one helps the tanks to get on their target.
Most hunters are ranged dmg dealers and target the same as the rest of the raid and just do dps.
(On bosses just use feign death from time to time to get rid of aggro (just to make it sure it doesn't hurt you anyway )
Rogue:
DPS, that is your job down here.
Rogues don't have to care much about curing curses and stuff like that they are only here for dps.
According to the very few tasks a rogue has (actually one) you should be able to watch yourself, don't over do the dmg and over aggro that way, if you get dmg step back and bandage yourself.
The raid isn't dead if you don't do 100k in 1 sec, and the raid also doesn#t wipe if you step back a few seconds to just bandage yourself. (But you die if you don't do so)
Priest:
Mainly you guys keep the tanks alive, in the best case the paladins and druids will heal the groups that good that you don't have to worry about ppl diing.
(Sorry that is all important I see here because if everybody does what he is supposed to priests should have a full time job with the tanks)
"
-Spirit is the way to go in MC. Of course, don't drop all your int stuff, but stuff that gives an equip bonus of regening mana per 5 seconds is a very nice addition with blessing of wisdom. Fast mana recovery when out of mana is an important thing and might save a wipe.
-Needless to say, don't use greater heal. 4 seconds is LONG with bosses. Flash heal all the way.
-If you're a MT healer focus on the MT. Talk with the pally in your party to dispell debuffs. If your MT has to offtank, and you hardly have any support, you don't have time to dispell. Again, mana regen is essential here because it's likely you go OOM before you have the chance to even get your add to the raid group. You might want to heal / dispel stuff when there is only one MT, but remember that your primary job is to keep the MT alive. MT dead means wipe, 7 out of 10 times.
-Talk with your pally and ask if he / she wants to keep an eye out for your blessing of wisdom. Other pally buffs are less important, but try to keep on BoW at all times. Again, mana regen is the way to go. Unfortunately there are not much pallies with improved BoW. "
Warlock:
Talk to the other warlocks to make sure that you don#t soulstone one priest twice and make sure that at least one priest is always soul stoned.
Banish mobs if you are told to and don't stand around waiting for some other warlock to do it.
Your Imp is especially the tanks friend and a welcome guest in every party, just phase shift him and use him as a running Stamina buff.
Mage:
Water Water Water that is what your raid needs, so make sure you got enough and at least support all in your party with it. (btw you should have the Lv 60 water)
DPS is what Mages are in molten Core for, but also to decurse (in bossfights like Lucifron make sure your party is never cursed ^^ some mages that are only decursing will take care about the partys that don't have a mage/druid).
Just to mention it again, because it seems to be an upcoming trend:
Decursing via whisper cast is the most noobish thing I have ever seen in Molten Core, just setup your Raidassist so it shows you cursed ppl in a different color. Your buffs need to be redone once in an hour (if someone died maybe twice) whisper cast shouldn't be neccessary because it could lead to mana waste.[/u]
As usual this guide is written from my expiriences with other classes and alot of things result from things I got told in speech with other classes.
And as usual I am open for improvements and corrections if you think I got the tasks of classes completly wrong or maybe missed something important.
Edit:
http://www.hikage.de/evt/addons.rar
These is a package of boss addons, current ct_raidassist, decursive, whispercast
Actually it should contain all stuff you need at the moment for raids.
Short Readmes and maybe more addons will be added from time to time, it will be announced in this thread.

EVT ventrilo info (used for raids only):
IP: voice400.hurricanehost.com
Port: 3854
pass : moo
You can get client here:
http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php
There are a few rules for VT
• Use ingame nick (or at least so close that it can't be mistaken, like me using be1der if i wanted that...)
• Use a guildtag behind your name. All evt use (EVT), all balance use (BAL).
• Respect other peoples privacy. If a party room is taken don't just go in there and listen / talk. This is important!! If you enter a random part chan notify them of your presence and ask if you can stay. If they say no then leave
• Don't spam the chat. Same as guildchat, don't talk crap all the time.
• No recording in ventrilo.
• During raids, or whenever there are a lot of people on vt, try to limit talking as much as possible to reduce bandwidth consumption.
• Use common sense
Rules for Balance
We know you don't have your own VT server and we don't mind you using ours as long as the bandwith limit don't get passed. But in addition to following our rules you should also always ask Beider first before you use the server. If Beider isn't on ask another EVT officer.

How do I create a new macro?
This is easy, just type /macro --> click new --> enter a name --> choose a nice picture --> click okay --> you're done.
What do I have to write that my macro works?
You have to whisper a Paladin with the Blessing you want, that should look like this in a macro.
/w Paladin Blessing
/w Paladin Blessing
/w paladin Blessing
/w paladin Blessing
you can put all your whispers in one macro and just press it every 5 minutes.
Which Blessing do I want to get?
They are sorted by their importance for each class
Priest:
Blessing of Wisdom --> +30 Mana every 5 secs (that is alot) --> Wisdom (this is what you have to put in your macro when you whisper a Paladin)
Blessing of Kings --> +10% to all stats --> Kings
Blessing of Salvation --> -30% threat --> Salvation
Blessing of Light --> Paladin heals will be more effective --> Light
Blessing of Sanctuary --> -24 dmg from all sources --> Sanctuary
Rogue:
Blessing of Salvation --> -30% threat --> Salvation (this is what you have to put in your macro when you whisper a Paladin)
Blessing of Kings --> +10% to all stats --> Kings
Blessing of Might --> +155 atk power --> Might
Blessing of Light --> Paladin heals will be more effective --> Light
Blessing of Sanctuary --> -24 dmg from all sources --> Sanctuary
Warrior:

Which Paladin has those Blessings?
Blessing of Wisdom --> every Paladin (can be improved, ask in raid for it)
Blessing of Might --> every Paladin (can be improved, ask in raid for it)
Blessing of Kings --> Talent: Jaina, Bluecrow, Supremo and Felmand are coming to my mind atm, one of them will allways be in raid.
Blessing of Salvation --> every Paladin (can be improved, just affects the duration)
Blessing of Light --> every Paladin
Blessing of Sanctuary --> Talent: Walgrim and Rainer are coming to my mind atm.
