Combat got a nerf with the removal of ArP indeed, but assassination is quite good.

No it isn't. Not compared to pretty much every other class other than hunters. Hunters have stayed pretty much as shit as they were before and rogues have dropped massively. Look at deathbringer 25HC parses post 12/10/10 for Americans and 13/10/10 for Europeans.
