nice, let me know how that cooler is for the cpu. I skipped that one for a noctua which is working out very good, sat on 3.6 on air, gonna run some md5 cracking shortly and max my cpu out for a few hours and track the temp, but it should be fine.

Also what case are you putting all that in? I got a silverstone ft01 (black) such an awesome case.

nice rig, I need to build storage up for when i finish uni and start with case work. I'll build a standalone machine as a NAS so it doesn't get touched by my desktop apps.

Why did u use 350x 2 euros on 2x 5870 cards when the 5870X2(Hemlock) is just around the corner and it will most likely out perform those by a little(like the 4870X2 vs 2x 4870) and it will be cheaper, and also not like it matters but why 2 diffrent brands of the cards? Do u only have local stores where u live? , Anyways nice machine hope u like your new ati cards, IT'S GOOD!

Hemlock rumored will have downclocked cores and did you see the leaked pics ? it's gonna hit my Harddrives :/







I am willing to pay an extra 100$ and have a higher performing combo and my harddisks intact thank you very much !

As for why I bought two cards was that I first bought an XFX... got bitten by the nerd bug and found out that all of the shops ran out of XFX versions so got myself a Sapphire one. As different brands won't matter in reality since all of the current cards are Made by ATI directly.

These things rape anything thrown at them.. thinking of going three screens to abuse the extra juice.



P.S. even at 1920x1200 res and the 920@3.6Ghz.. the cards are cpu bottlenecked.

I have no doubt in my mind that that 5870X2 will beat 2x 5870s otherwise what is the point with it?,
the are waiting with the release of hemlock just because they need to have a triumph card to pull out when the nVidia 300 series gets out.

Also who needs a case anyways? buy a torture rack insteed!, also 3.6 ghz for a i7 is poor u should be able to pull out some more
juice of that one if u cant then it is your "gigaplast" mobo that hold u back u are much better of with a Asus motherboard or Evga really

Forgot to mention one thing... C0 920

It's not the mobo tbh.. it's the bloody heat coming out.. 3.6ghz @ 90'C is overkill.
